Fireflies is a new ministry of our parish—the purpose is to bring our entire parish together, mid-week, once-per-month, for a community dinner, Philoptochos meeting, youth events and dynamic guest speakers. Our vibrant ministries are a warm, glowing light in the dark of the night! November’s event saw our JOY children making Thanksgiving cards for the home-bound members of our parish, our GOYAns making big plans for the new year, and a rousing discussion with guest speaker Vance Rains, Director of the Wesley Foundation at FSU. There was definitely something for everyone, and it is always powerful to come together during the week. The Liturgy is not just lived on Sundays, but should invigorate and direct our lives each and every day. See you soon at a coming Fireflies night!
